Standards

Editorial standards and corrections

The rules every page follows, how AI tools are used here, and where corrections are recorded.

Independence

No operator, affiliate or regulator pays for coverage or reviews our tables before publication. We do not accept sponsored content or paid links. If that ever changes, the page concerned will say so at the top.

More about who we are is on our about GamingDataAtlas page.

Sourcing

Every page lists the releases its figures come from. Primary sources come first; figures taken from trade press or trade bodies are labelled as such. We do not publish numbers we cannot trace, and we do not present an estimate as a measurement. The detail is in our methodology.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help find releases, draft text and check consistency. Every figure is checked against the cited source before publication, and pages are edited for accuracy. Google's guidance on generative AI content asks publishers to fact-check AI-assisted work, including titles and structured data; we treat that as the minimum.

The photographs of city skylines on this site are AI-generated illustrations. They are decorative and contain no data. Maps and charts are drawn by us from public-domain map data and from the figures in each article.

Gambling coverage

Coverage of a market is not a statement that gambling, or advertising it, is lawful there. We do not link to operators, list bonuses or encourage anyone to gamble. Minimum ages differ: 18 in Great Britain, 18 or 19 in Canadian provinces, and 21 for online casino in US states. If gambling is affecting you or someone you know, a local support service can help, such as the National Gambling Helpline in Great Britain, ConnexOntario in Ontario or 1-800-GAMBLER in the United States.

Corrections log

Errors are corrected as soon as we confirm them, and listed here with the date and what changed. Revisions published by a regulator are noted on the page concerned rather than here.

Regulators publish and revise data every month. Send us the release and we will check it against the source.
